The Mosquito Ridge Retreat is a custom built home located in the town of Foresthill, walking distance to main street but situated on over an acre of property on the rim of the canyon and adjacent to the Western States Trail (see map below).

The property is also located next to the well-known Mountain Shadows Resort and Wedding venue.

​

 

Due to the unique design and setting of this home, it is neither kid-friendly nor accessible to those with mobility challenges.  It is ideal for hikers, trekkers, runners, endurance buffs, dog walkers, day trippers, and horse riders.  The Western States Trail is not open to mountain bikes or motorized vehicles.  However, there are many other trails in the area that are open to mountain bikes, dirt bikes, and off-road vehicles.

The property accommodates 6 guests comfortably, with plenty of room for horse, boat or ATV trailers.  Indoor pets are not permitted.

​

Besides the trail, nearby activities include cycling, fishing, boating, horseback riding and river rafting.
